Running shoe size guide

Size matters… especially if you are a runner. I am on a mission to try every running shoe out there and collect data from out in the field to help you find the right shoe size across brands and models – so you can avoid blue toe nails, blisters and mis purchases.

Size matters – a guide to running shoe sizes

Looking to buy a new running shoe online but have experienced that the size varies across brands… and models!? For instance, I use a EUR 45.5 in Nike Vaporfly Next 2%, 45.0 in Asics Novablast 5, 46 in Hoka Cielo X1 and 45 and 1/3 in Hoka Speedgoat 5…. Well, this site is aimed at helping you finding the right size for you – across brands and models, based on my personal testing of running shoes (I aim at testing 5-10 shoes a week (paternity leave) + data collection out in the field (events, marathons etc) and feedback from readers of this page.

On the left hand side you will find handy resources to make you more confident in choosing the right size, for instance the “My size – all sizes of shoes I’ve tested” as well as an overview and comparison of the Supplier’s Size Charts.

Also, feel free to check out my posts, where I give a short and no BS review of selected shoes (super subjective of course).

  • We are going live with an initial shoe size comparison for popular running shoes from brands like Nike, Puma, Hoka, Asics etc. – both size comparison from in the field testing as well as a consolidated comparison table of each brand’s size chart.

We will continue testing and comparing shoe sizes in the coming weeks and days and update this page continuously.

Feel free to reach contact us or reach out via tellmethesize@runningshoesizes.com if you have certain shoes you would like to see tested.
